MY STORY

 

 

I grew up in the 1960's - I became a professional bassist in the mid '70's. I've had a very diverse career. I love swinging jazz improvising and 3 minute pop songs. I love Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, The Four Seasons, The Grateful Dead, The Carpenters, The Rolling Stones, Steely Dan, Laura Nyro, Earth Wind & Fire  ~~~ 

 

I have played with many of the original artists whose music we play at various events. Joe Cocker, Ray Charles, Gladys Knight, Rick Springfield, Melba Moore, Felix Cavaliere, Ben E. King, Bo Diddley, Melissa Manchester, Dr. John, The Blues Brothers. Here are some videos of me laying it down for the greats.

 

I have played in dozens of Broadway shows ~ Smokey Joe's Cafe, Mamma Mia, Motown, Beautiful, Hair, Kinky Boots, Hairspray, Shrek, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rent, Spring Awakening, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Shrek and others.

 

I play regularly with the best musicians available in New York. In shows, on recordings, backing up featured artists, at weddings, and in bars!

 

I love sitting down with a client and and listening to them describe their dream event ~ and then putting together the perfect combination of players and singers.
